As an interdisciplinary design studio, Common Dwells works across the scales of architecture, interiors, and design to create holistic, human experiences. Our core business is researching and developing The Circadian Home.

  • Working with physical spaces, we understand the subtle and intricate effects that our surroundings have on our being. We specialise in creating spaces of a biophilic nature, that nurture and support a healthy life filled with moments of awe and meaning.

  • We are grateful for each opportunity we receive to share our knowledge and experience with a greater audience. Through lectures, workshops and articles, we have distilled some of our core philosophies and passed these on for others to use and make their own.

THE CIRCADIAN HOME

THE CIRCADIAN HOME IS OUR CORE CONCEPT.
IT IS AN IDEA MANIFESTED IN FORM, DESIGNED TO SUPPORT HUMAN NATURE.

The Circadian Home is a model and invitation, created to inspire rather than restrict. It is a humble and simple yet radical approach to residential architecture based on research of the circadian rhythm.

Supporting human and ecological well-being, the model of The Circadian Home is guided by the universal laws that enable life on this planet, elevating the sometimes forgotten and mundane but vitally important.

Everything we do at Common Dwells aims to bring people closer to the Circadian Home way of living.

  • "It's been a genuine pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with you and support you on these, feeling very grateful to have been connected through our crafts."

    SANTIAGO DE HOYOS, PHOTOGRAPHER

  • "THANK YOU! WE LOVE THE TAPESTRY, IT HAS TRANSFORMED THE SPACE."

    ELIZABETH GRUNCHALA, ARCHITECT

  • "This type of collaboration seems like a breath of fresh air to me, it is a chance to be where you want to be and at the same time be in contact with other cultures and with friends."

    ZELMIRA FRERS, ARCHITECT & PHOTOGRAPHER
