Ground and Gather is a collection of rugs conceived as spatial material landscapes that support the body and focus the mind. Woven entirely by hand from pure Argentinian sheep wool, each piece emerges from an ancient practice that is at once local, universal and deeply human.
The wool is sourced directly from Santiago del Estero, where master weavers — working with the natural tones of the virgin material, or dying it with plant pigments collected from the land — shape form through measured touch, patiently translating natural fibres into textured surfaces that soften, absorb, and orient a room.
Unlike mass-produced surfaces, these rugs are composed with sensory depth and an appreciation for the raw and real: the tactile weight of wool underfoot, the subtle scent of natural fibre, and the tonal warmth that evolves with light and time. Unique variations arise from the intrinsic qualities of the material and weaving process — evidence tracing the piece back to its origin place and maker.
Each rug is made to order, tailored to the intended context through either a guided pre-designed option or a dedicated custom design dialogue. In every iteration, Ground and Gather rugs are at once decorative accents and grounding artefacts — they are surfaces that invite rest, presence, and play and that create a space within a space for hosting daily informal communal moments. As a surface and gathering place, these rugs alter the atmosphere of a space through material presence, craft, and lived experience.
